Student/Teacher Relationship Guidelines

The following guidelines are provided in accordance with the traditional Ayurvedic sutras, to empower the student/teacher relationship.

  1. At all times, Dr. Joshi should be treated with the respect due to a highly trained,  competent physician and teacher. Dr. Joshi has dedicated his life to preserving and sharing Ayurveda in its purest form, and hopes to instill a similar attitude in all of his students.
  2. Before being fully accepted into this program, Dr. Joshi must approve each student's application request. The Vinayak Ayurveda and Panchakarma Research Foundation, and Dr. Joshi, are under no obligation to automatically accept anyone into this program.
  3. Classroom Etiquette:

§         Students must arrive to class on time.

§         Shoes must be removed before entering the classroom.

§         No eating during class.

§         No personal audio or video taping in class. No computers, cell phones or audio pagers may be used inside the classroom.

§         Classroom clothing must be modest, neat and clean.

§         Dr. Joshi should not be interrupted with questions during his lecture. All questions should be written down and given to the Director at the end of the class.

Financial Policies:

  1. Registration Fees, Deposits, and Tuition:

§         Registration Fee:
$50.00 required with the application form (non-refundable)

General Policies:

  1. The Vinayak Ayurveda and Panchakarma Research Foundation is an educational facility. It provides education and practical training but cannot license anyone to practice health care.
  2. Graduates will receive an Ayurvedic Sadhana Padavika diploma. This signifies they are an Ayurvedic Practitioner not an Ayurvedic Physician. The title of Ayurvedic Physician is reserved for those who have received a B.A.M.S. or M.D. degree from a fully accredited Ayurvedic College in India.
  3. Each student must pass all necessary tests and examinations of the program. No letter grades will be assigned, each step will be evaluated on a pass/fail system.
  4. Any concerns regarding the course or the programs are to be relayed to the Director.

Text Box: The Vinayak Ayurveda and Panchakarma Research Foundation and Dr. Joshi reserve the right to dismiss any student from class that is either not benefiting from the studies, or who is not furthering the good of Ayurveda. Such dismissal will result in the refunding of all deposits and tuition (registration fee's are non-refundable).
